A Beacon of Education and Faith in Kenya
Living Hope High School is an accredited boarding school in Bungoma, Kenya, serving orphaned and underprivileged youth. Founded in 2009 in a rented shed with just four students, it has grown into a thriving campus through the faith, vision, and retirement savings of Marilyn Uhl, with the assistance of her sister, Helen.
Today, through generous donor support, we provide 88 students with safe housing, healthcare, and quality secondary education, with enrolment expected to reach 130 students by 2028. The school employs 13 teachers, 15 support staff, and 2 management staff, and is led by USA/Kenya international coordinators and directors Elvis Mukamba and Charise Millsop. Together, we equip students with knowledge, practical skills, Christian values, and confidence to break the cycle of poverty and become future leaders.
Through faith, academic standards, and holistic care, we help children break cycles of poverty and discover their calling in Christ.
